‘하나님의 열심이 이루시는 구원’
본문관찰과 묵상
‘하나님의 열심’ 은 창조와 다스림과 공급과 질서를 이루셨다. 그러나 그 질서를 깨트린 죄인을 위한 구원의 역사를 이루신다. 공의와 정의로 다스리는 한 아기를 주심으로 오늘도 구원하신다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
인간을 비롯한 모든 피조물을 구원하시려 하나님이 성육신 해서 아기 예수로 오셨다. 하나님의 열심이 이루신 일이요 그 열심으로 죄와 압제자의 멍에와 채찍과 막대기를 꺽어 주의 나라를 세우신다.
결단과 적용
내가 아무리 열심으로 일해도 내가 이루지 못하는 것들이 많다. ‘우리의 자격(만족)있음은 우리 스스로에서 절대 나지 못하고 오직 하나님이 이루신다. 그가 나를 율법조문이 아닌 성령으로 새 언약의 일꾼된 자격(만족)을 주셨다’ (고후 3:5-6). 아기 예수를 믿고 구원받은 나는 그래서 오늘도 아기 예수의 증인으로 살아간다.
‘Salvation is completed by God’s zeal’

Observation and meditation on the text
‘God completed perfect creation and has been reigning and providing with perfect God’s order by ‘God’s zeal.’ Furthermore, God also completes salvation of sinners who have broken God’s order by giving us a child who’s got government to rule over all creation with his justice and righteousness.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God has been incarnated and come to us as a baby Jesus to save all his creation including all human beings. It was done by ‘God’s zeal,’ and it will be completed also to establish God’s kingdom by shattering the yoke of sins and the whips and rods of the oppressors.
Decisions and applications
There are so many things I cannot achieve no matter how much I may endeavor. ‘Our competence comes from God, not from us. He has made us competent as ministers of new covenant not of the law but of the Holy Spirit’ (II Co 3:5-6). Since such a hopeless sinner like me has been saved by Jesus who was born as a baby, I keep on witnessing the baby Jesus who is the Savior and Lord wholeheartedly because I love my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
