‘내 자유를 절제하게 하는 사랑의 능력’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
우상에게 드려진 제물을 먹는 것은 율법적 으로 아무 잘못이 없다. 그러나 내가 먹는 것을 보고 믿음이 약한 사람이 걸려 넘어진다면 나는 자유를 절제하며 살리라.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
지식적으로 잘 알기에 자유롭게 살수 있지만 지식은 교만하게 하고 사랑은 덕을 세운다. 믿음이 약한 자를 사랑하기에 그가 실족하지 않게 하며 산다.
3. 결단과 적용
내가 와인 한잔 하는 것이 지식적으로 아무 잘못이 없다. 그러나 내가 술 한잔 하는 것을 믿음이 약한 자가 보면 실족 할 수 있기에 나는 먹지 않고 살겠다.
오늘의 기도
주여, 지식을 뛰어넘는 사랑의 마음으로 믿음이 연약한자가 실족하지 않게 오늘도 나의 자유를 절제하며 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘The Power of Love That Controls My Freedom’
I Co. 8:1-13
1. Observation and Meditation
Even though I eat food that was offered to idols, I am not guilty according to the law. However, if it becomes a stumbling block to those who are weak in their faith, I will not eat it at all for their sake.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord through QT
I am not guilty because I have knowledge regarding this issue. However, "knowledge puffs up while love builds up." Because I love those who are weak in faith, I will practice self-control for their sake.
3. Decisions and Applications
According to my knowledge, I do not feel guilty having a glass of wine with a meal. However, if it becomes a stumbling block for the weak, I will choose not to drink it.
Today's Prayer
Lord, help me to live not by knowledge but by love. Forbid that my uncontrolled use of freedom should cause the weak to stumble. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
