‘기도하는 집인가? 강도의 굴혈인가?’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
교회는 기도하는 집이다. 기도하면 하나님 의 뜻을 알고 순종한다. 기도가 없으면 나의 욕심을 채우는 강도의 굴혈이 된다. 믿음으로 구하는 것은 다 응답을 받는다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 편한 쪽으로 살 때 교회는 강도의 소굴 이 된다. 기도하며 하나님의 뜻을 따라 믿음으로 살 때 나는 물론 병자도 고침 받지만 믿음 없는 삶은 열매가 없어 결국 망한다.
3. 결단과 적용
눈에 보기에 잎이 무성한 나무 같아도 열매가 없으면 예수는 그 무화과 나무는 영원히 무화과 열매를 맺지 못할 것을 예언했다. 그러나 기도하며 “눈물을 흘리며 씨를 뿌리는 자들은 기쁨으로 거두리로다” (시 126:5).
오늘의 기도
환난과 핍박을 피하며 살지 않게 하소서! “우리가 하나님의 영광을 바라고 즐거워 한다. 다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 환난은 인내를, 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다” (롬 5:3-4). 주여, 오늘도 기도함으로 눈물로 씨를 뿌립니다. 뿌린 만큼 열매를 맺게 하실 줄 믿습니다. 예수님의 이름으로 기도 합니다.
‘A house of prayer or a den of robbers?’
Mt. 21:12-23
1. Observation and Meditation
The Church of Christ is intended to be a house of prayer. When I pray, I align myself with God’s will and receive the strength to obey it. Without this prayerful connection, any church—and any heart—can easily become a "den of robbers." However, when I pray with genuine faith, I know that God hears and answers.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Through my Quiet Time, the Lord speaks: if I live in complacency, my spiritual life loses its purpose and becomes a den of robbers. But if I obey the Lord and seek His will through prayer, healing follows—both for myself and for others. A life without faith is like a tree that bears no fruit; it eventually withers and perishes.
3. Decisions and Applications
When Jesus found no fruit on the leafy fig tree, He declared it would never bear fruit again. This is a sobering reminder not to have the "leaves" of religion without the "fruit" of faith. Nevertheless, I hold onto the promise that "those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy" (Psalm 126:5).
Today's Prayer
Lord, help me to avoid the trap of complacency and the urge to flee from suffering or affliction. We boast in the hope of the glory of God, and we even glory in our sufferings—knowing that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4).
Today, Lord, I sow my seeds with tears in prayer. I believe with all my heart that You will bring forth a harvest as great as the seeds I have sown. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
