‘베냐민이 세번째로 몫을 받다’
본문관찰과 묵상
유다와 요셉 지파에 이어 작은 베냐민 지파가 세번째로 기업을 받았다. 첫째, 요셉과 베냐민은 라헬이 낳은 아들이었다. 둘째, 유다가 받은 예루살렘을 베냐민도 공유했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
예루살렘은 베냐민 지파에서 난 초대 왕 사울과 유다 지파에서 난 다윗을 연결하는 땅이다. 예루살렘성이 다윗성의 되어 다윗왕국이 계속 전승되었다. 베냐민은 작은 지파였으나 사울과 다윗을, 베냐민과 유다 지파를 연결함으로 큰 일을 감당했다.
결단과 적용
내가 스펙이나 가문이 좋지 않아도 상관없다. 하나님이 택하시면 쓰임 받는다. 사울이 겸손했을 때 택함 받고 쓰임 받았다. 다윗이 막내아들도 부모에게 버림받았어도 (시 27:10) 목자로서 양육 받아 통일왕국을 세웠다. 나는 작아도 내 속에 주인 되신 주님이 하신다.

Observation and meditation on the text
After Judah and Joseph, Benjamin tribe received their allotment thirdly. Why? First, it was Rachel who gave birth to Joseph and Benjamin. They were beloved brothers by parents. Second, Jerusalem belonged to both Judah and Benjamin.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Jerusalem was the place where the first king of Isarael Saul from Benjamin was related to the second king David from Judah. Based on that, Jerusalem became the city of David through which David’s dynasty maintained for generations. Benjamin was a small tribe, but they could do great mediator job between Saul and David, the tribe of Benjamin and the tribe of Judah.
Decisions and applications
It does not matter whether I don’t have great specks or not. I can be used by being chosen by God. When Saul was humble, he was chosen and used by God. When David was being equipped and trained as a shepherd he was chosen even though he was disowned by his parents (Ps. 27:10). I am small but Jesus who is in me is big enough to carry on my ministry given by God.
