‘종말의 때는 몰라도 항상 깨어 있어라’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
하나님 아버지만 아시는 종말의 때를 알 필요 없다. 항상 깨어 주님 맞을 준비를 하면 된다. 충성되고 지혜로운 종이 되어 맡은 사명 잘 감당하면 주님이 상 주신다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
이단들은 알 필요가 없다고 예수님이 말씀한 날짜를 예언하다 망한다. 언제 오시든지 충성된 청지기로 맡겨 주신 사명 감당하다가 주님을 맞는다.
3. 결단과 적용
내 눈에 주님이 보이지 않아도 나는 주님 앞에 충성되고 지혜로운 종이 되어 깨어 항상 주님 맞을 준비하며 살리라. 맡겨준 사명인 예수의 증인으로 끝까지 살리라.
오늘의 기도
신부가 신랑을 만나기를 기대하며 깨어 있듯이 오늘도 주님 맞을 준비하며 살게 하소서. 충성되고 지혜로운 종으로 내게 맡겨 주신 사명 조용히 그러나 신실하게 감당하다가 주님을 만나게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘Keep watch to meet Jesus, even though I do not know the time of the Parousia’
Mt. 24:36-51
1. Observation and Meditation
I do not need to know the exact day or hour of the Parousia. It is enough for me to remain prepared by keeping watch for Him. If I live as a faithful and wise servant who carries out God’s mission every day, I will be commended and rewarded by Jesus when He returns.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Heretical groups have often led themselves to ruin by predicting the exact date of the Parousia—a time Jesus declared only the Father knows. Therefore, I will not focus on "when" He will arrive, but rather on Jesus Himself, ensuring I am ready to meet Him at any moment.
3. Decisions and Applications
Even though Jesus is currently invisible to my eyes, I will live by faith as a wise steward. I will fulfill the mission God has given me and remain watchful for the Parousia with great expectation, regardless of when it may occur.
Today's Prayer
Lord, strengthen me to prepare for Jesus’ return, just as a bride stays awake to meet her groom. Help me remain a faithful steward, carrying out Your mission by faith so that I am ready to welcome you whenever you may come. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
