‘멍에 메는 나귀 새끼를 타고 오신 왕 중의 왕’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예루살렘이 가까운 감람 산 벳바게에서 예수는 멍에 매는 짐승인 나귀의 새끼를 타고 예루살렘에 입성했다. 온유와 겸손으로 내 죄의 멍에를 메고 오셨다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
스가랴 선지자의 예언대로 (슥 9:9)감람 산 벳바게에서 예수는 나귀 타고 예루살렘에 입성 하셨다. 부활 하신 후 예수는 그곳에서 승천하셨다. “여호와의 날” 에 이스라엘이 남 북 왕국으로 나뉠 때도, 재림 하실 때도 예수는 그곳으로 오실 것을 스가랴 선지자 가 예언 했다(슥 14:4-5). 종려주일은 예수의 재림도 기대하게 한다.
3. 결단과 적용
나귀 새끼 타고 나의 죄의 짐의 멍에를 대신 지시고 자유케 하러 오신 주 예수님을 찬양한다. 또한 감람 산으로 다시 오실 재림 주 를 사모하며 준비하며 살아가리라.
오늘의 기도
“이것들을 증언하신 이가 이르시되 내가 진실로 속히 오리라 하시거늘 아멘 주 예수여 어서 오시옵소서” (계 22:20). 종려주일에 나귀새끼 타고 오신 주여! 마라나타 어서 재림하소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도 합니다.
‘The King of Kings on a Humble Donkey’
Mt. 21:1-11
1. Observation and Meditation
Jesus entered Jerusalem at Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, riding on the foal of a donkey. On this first Palm Sunday, Jesus came not as a conquering warlord, but as a humble Savior prepared to bear the yoke of my sins.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Just as Zechariah prophesied, Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt (Zech. 9:9). After His resurrection, He ascended to heaven from this very same location. Zechariah further prophesies that on the "Day of the Lord," the Judge will return to this same place (Zech. 14:4-5). Therefore, Palm Sunday does not just look back at history; it fills my heart with the expectation of the Parousia—the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
3. Decisions and Applications
I praise the Lord who took up the yoke of my sin to set me free. While I celebrate His first coming, I also long for the Day of the Lord when Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives to usher me into the Kingdom of God. I commit to preparing for that day every single day of my life.
Today's Prayer
"He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus" (Rev. 22:20). Lord Jesus, You came on Palm Sunday riding on a humble foal. Maranatha! Lord Jesus, please return to me soon. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
