‘길리앗은 악을 행하는 자들의 고을’
본문관찰과 묵상
기업의 분배를 마쳤다. 여호수아는 요단 서편에서 끝까지 싸운 르우벤, 갓, 므낫세 반 지파를 칭찬하고 요단 동편 자신들이 이미 받은 길르앗 땅으로 돌아가게 했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
요단 동편 길르앗으로 돌아가서 받은 전리품을 싸우지 않고 구경만 한 므낫세 반 지파에게도 나누게 했다. 그리고 받은 축복을 나누는 것으로 끝나지 말고 축복을 주신 하나님 중심으로 살게했다.
결단과 적용
이스라엘은 약속의 땅을 받았다 저들은 요단동편 길르앗에 돌아가 하나님 중심이 아닌 탐욕으로 싸우며 살았다. 예수님을 기업으로 받고 하나님의 기업이 된 그리스도인들이 오늘 탐욕으로 서로 싸우며 살고있다. . ‘길르앗은 악을 행하는 자들의 고을이다. 피발자국으로 가득찼도다’ (호 6:8). 교회 다니는 사람들부터 받은 은혜를 나누며 살지 못함을 회개하고 하나님중심으로 돌아가자!

Observation and meditation on the text
Joshua completed the distribution of the allotment. Joshua let the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh return to their inheritance on the eastern side of Jordan River.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Joshua let the half tribe of Manasseh share their booties they took on the western side of Jordan with their half tribe who stayed on the eastern side even though they did not get involved in the fight. Furthermore, Joshua charged them to live God-centered life when they returned to their inheritance with what they were blessed.
Decisions and applications
Israel received the promised land. However, when the two and the half tribe returned to their allotment on the estern side of Jordan, which was called Gilead, they fought against each other out of covetousness instead of living God-centered life. Contemporary Christians who are called God’s inheritances also fight against one another out of fleshly desires. ‘Gilead is a city of evildoers, stained with footprints of blood’ (Hosea 6:8). Church goers of today must repent of our sins of self-centered life and must return to God-center life by sharing whatever we have received from God with others.
