‘아브라함과 맺은 언약을 지키는 하나님’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
“너를 축복하는 자에게는 내가 복을 내리고 너를 저주하는 자에게는 내가 저주하리니 땅의 모든 족속이 너로 말미암아 복을 얻을 것이라 하신지라” (창 12:3).
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
암몬, 모압, 에돔은 예루살렘의 성소가 더렵혀 졌을 때 저주하고 기뻐했다. 에스겔은 하나님 은 언약을 지켜 저들이 이방인에게 망하게 될 것을 예언했다.
3. 결단과 적용
하나님은 언약을 지키신다 (민 23:19). 나를 저주하고 조롱하는 자들은 하나님의 손에서 저주와 조롱을 받는다. 정의와 공의의 하나님께 나의 삶을 맡긴다.
오늘의 기도
“나 여호와는 정의를 사랑하고 불의의 강탈을 미워 하여 핍박당하는 내 백성에게 성실히 갚아주고 그들과 영원한 언약을 맺으리라” (사 61:8). 그대로 언약을 이루소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘God Keeps His Covenant Declared to Abraham’
Ezekiel 25:1–11
1. Observation and meditation on the text
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3). God keeps His covenant declared to Abraham.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
I hear the Lord speaking about the nations—such as the Ammonites, Moabites, and Edomites—who mocked and rejoiced when the Temple of God in Jerusalem was desolated. Because they cursed the Israelites, Ezekiel prophesied that these nations would face judgment and be destroyed by foreign invaders.
3. Decisions and applications
God is entirely faithful to His word; He always keeps His covenant (Numbers 23:19). Knowing that those who curse or ridicule me will ultimately face God's divine justice, I do not need to seek revenge. Instead, I surrender my entire life into the hands of our just and righteous God.
Today's Prayer
“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.” (Isaiah 61:8). Lord, thank You for Your unwavering faithfulness. I pray that Your covenant promises will be completely fulfilled in my life today. Break the power of any mockery or opposition against me, and let Your justice prevail. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
