‘만민을 사랑하시는 하나님’
본문 관찰과 묵상
사라가 죽고 아브라함이 얻은 후처는 그두라였다. 그를 통하여 많은 아들들이 탄생했다. 아브라함은 이삭에게 모든 소유를 주었다. 그러나 서자들에게도 이삭을 떠나 동방에가서 살수있게 재산을 주었다. 175세에 아브라함이 죽고 사라와 함께 막벨라 굴에 합장되었다. 하갈의 소생 이스마엘의 12명의 아들들은 아랍민족의 조상이 되었다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
아브라함은 자신이 후처 그두라와 첩 하갈의 소생들도 다 선대하였다. 그들이 이삭을 떠남으로 이스라엘의 정통 자손은 되지 않았다. 첩 하갈에서 난 아들 이스마엘과 그의 12 아들들을 통하여 아랍나라들이 세워졌다. 그러나 아브라함은 그들 모두를 사랑하였다. 그러나 인간은 지금까지도 사랑하지 않고 산다.
결단과 적용
하나님은 아브라함처럼 만민을 사랑하라고 하신다. 그런데 이스라엘은 지끔까지도 이스마엘의 후손 아랍과 전쟁을 하며 산다. 그러나 주님의 ‘온전하심’은 원수까지도 사랑하신 사랑이다(마 5:48). 만민을 사랑하며 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
After Sarah died Abraham got the second wife, Ketura. She gave birth to many sons. However, Abraham gave everything he owned to Isaac. At the same time Abraham gave gift to the children of the concubines as he let them leave on Eastern nations by leaving from Isaac. Abraham died at 175, and he was buried with Sarah in the cave of Machpelah. Hagar’s son Ishmael became the father of 12 tribes who have become Arabs.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Abraham treated well the children of his concubines such as Hagar and Keturah. Abraham let them be separated from Isaac, so their descendants were excluded from the orthodox Jews. Hagar’s son Ishmael established Arab tribes out of his 12 sons. However, Abraham loved and treated them all very well. However, their descendants are still fighting against each other.
Decisions and applications
God wants us to love all nations as Abraham did. However, Israel still fights against Arabs who are the descendant of Ishmael. However, the perfection of Jesus Christ is his love to embrace all nations (Matt. 5:48). I will love all nations with the love of Jesus Christ.
