‘사역 전에 무장시키시는 하나님의 은혜’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수님은 공생애 사역을 시작하시기 전, 광야에서 40일간 금식하며 기도 하셨다. 이때 마귀가 세 번의 유혹과 테스트를 했다. "네가 만일 하나님의 아들이라면" 이라는 전제하에 첫째, 돌을 떡으로 만들라. 둘째, 성전 꼭대기에서 뛰어내려 천사들이 보호하게 하라. 셋째, 천하만국의 영광을 보여주며 마귀 자신에게 경배 하면 이 모든 것을 주겠다고 유혹했다.
2. 묵상을 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
예수는 기록된 성경 말씀으로 마귀의 시험을 물리치셨다. 나 자신 또한 오직 말씀으로 유혹과 시험을 이길 수 있음을 확신한다.
첫째, 사람은 육신적인 부족함이 있을지라도, 떡이 아닌 하나님의 입으로부터 나오는 말씀으로 사는 존재다.
둘째, 내가 높아지기를 바라며 하나님을 시험하지 않는다. 오직 주님을 높이며 주님 중심으로 산다.
셋째, 나의 영광을 위해 세상(마귀)과 타협하지 않고, 오직 하나님의 영광만을 위해 살아가리라.
3. 결단과 적용
"너희 염려를 다 주께 맡기라 이는 그가 너희를 돌보심이라. 근신하라 깨어라 너희 대적 마귀가 우는 사자 같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾나니 너희는 믿음을 굳건하게 하여 그를 대적하라 이는 세상에 있는 너희 형제들도 동일한 고난을 당하는 줄을 앎이라" (벧전 5:7-9). 마귀를 대적하고 승리하기 위해 삶 속에서 근신하며 깨어 있기를 결단한다.
우선순위정립: 금식하며 기도하셨던 주님을 본받아, 주님의 음성을 듣는 QT 시간을 하루 중 가장 중요한 우선순위로 삼고 주님과 독대하며 산다.
말씀의 무기: 성령의 검인 하나님의 말씀을 계속 암송하여, 유혹과 시험이 올 때 즉각적으로 말씀으로 대적하여 물리친다.
존재 목적의 재정립: 하나님이 나를 위해 존재하는 것이 아니라, 내가 하나님의 영광을 위해 존재한다는 삶의 목적을 날마다 명확히 정립하여 살아간다.
* 오늘의 기도
주여, 오늘 하루도 "먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하며" 살게 하소서(마 6:33). "아무것도 염려하지 말고 오직 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라. 그리하면 모든 지각에 뛰어난 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 마음과 생각을 지키시리라" 하신 약속대로, 오늘도 제 마음을 붙들어 주시고 함께하여 주소서!
‘God’s grace to equip me for ministry’
Mt. 4:1-11
1. Observation and Meditation
Before beginning His public ministry, Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness for forty days. During this time, the devil came to test and entice Him three times.
First: Challenging His identity, Satan said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
Second: He urged Jesus to throw Himself down from the highest point of the temple, mocking that God would send angels to protect Him.
Third: Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor, promising to give them to Him if Jesus would only bow down and worship him.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Jesus overcame Satan by quoting Holy Scripture. This teaches me that I, too, can overcome-a temptation through the living Word of God.
Material vs. Spiritual: I must live by God’s Word even when I lack physical or material resources.
Humility vs. Pride: I must never test God by demanding He "prove" Himself to me. Instead, I lift up His name by living a God-centered life.
God’s Glory vs. My Glory: I will never compromise with the enemy for personal gain. I choose to live for God’s glory alone.
3. Decisions and Applications
Reflecting on 1 Peter 5:7-8, I ask myself: How can I remain alert and sober-minded to defeat the devil?
Priority of Prayer: I will make my "Quiet Time" my highest priority, using fasting and prayer to hear the Lord’s voice clearly.
The Sword of the Word: I will continually memorize Scripture so that I am armed with the "apposite" (appropriate) Word of God to resist spiritual attacks.
Purposeful Living: I will maintain a God-centered life, ensuring that my primary motivation is His kingdom rather than my own.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, strengthen me to "seek first the kingdom of God" (Mt. 6:33). Help me to live by Your promise: to have no anxiety about anything, but in everything, through prayer and thanksgiving, to let my requests be known to You. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:6-7). Stay with me through Your Word. Amen.
