‘그리스도를 예표하는 보아스의 사랑’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
보아스가 룻을 사랑한 이유는 이방여인이 하나님을 사랑하고 시모를 사랑한 공의와 정의 때문이다. 룻이 행한 일에 베푼 은혜는 보호와 양식을 공급한 것이다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
이방인 이라도 회개하고 하나님을 섬기며 부모를 공경하는 삶이 주님을 기쁘시게 한다. 룻은 십계명의 1계명과 5계명을 지켰다. 영육간에 필요한 것을 공급해 주는 목자, 예수가 상급이다.
3. 결단과 적용
“여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다 그가 나를 푸른 초장에 누이시며 쉴만한 물가로 인도하신다” (시 23:1-2). 나를 구원하사 이방인도 죄인도 구원하시는 구원자의 이름을 나를 통해 열방에 선포하신다.

“내 영혼을 소성시키시고 자기 이름을 위해 나를 의의 길로 인도하시는 도다. 내가 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다닐지라도 해 받음을 두려워 하지 않음은 주께서 나와 함께 하심이라 주의 지팡이와 막대기가 나를 안위하시나이다 주께서 내 원수의 목전에서 내게 상을 베푸시고 기름으로 내 머리에 부으셨으니 내 잔이 넘치나이다 내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 정녕 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 거하리로다” (시 23:3-6). 내 영혼이 잠잠히 하나님만 바라게 하소서! (시 62:1). 주여 내가 끝까지 주의 이름을 열방에 선포하며 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘!
‘Meeting People is the Result of God’s Providence and Administration’

1. Observation and Meditation
Boaz demonstrates a profound love for Ruth, a Gentile woman, because he recognizes her devotion to the Lord and her faithfulness in honoring her mother-in-law. By protecting her in the fields and providing an abundance of grain, Boaz bestows grace upon Ruth. His actions foreshadow the way Jesus welcomes and provides for those who come to Him.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord through QT
Through this text, the Lord reminds me that He is pleased when anyone—including a Gentile like myself—repents, worships Him, and honors their parents. Ruth, though an outsider, fulfilled the essence of the 1st Commandment (loving God) and the 5th Commandment (honoring parents). Consequently, God became her Shepherd, providing for her needs and protecting her soul. Ultimately, Jesus is the greatest reward for her faith, and for mine.
3. Decisions and Applications
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." (Psalm 23:1–2)
I affirm today that He is my Shepherd. God, who saves a sinner like me and restores my soul through His love, will declare His Holy Name throughout the world through my life. I commit to living as a witness of His restorative grace.
Today's Prayer
"Lord, You guide me along the right paths for Your name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:3–6)
Lord, empower me so that my soul finds rest in You alone, for my salvation comes from You (Psalm 62:1). Lord, please help me to witness for Your name all over the world until I die. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
