‘하나님을 사랑하는 자들의 삶의 변화’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님을 기뻐하고 사랑하는 자들이 금식하며 자신과 조상들의 죄를 회개했다. 이방인에게 영향받지 않으려 절교했다. 오전 3시간은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 3시간은 기도와 찬양으로 하나님만을 창조주 구원자로 믿고 예배드렸다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
진정한 회개는 실천을 동반한다. 이방인의 삶에 세속화 되었던 삶을 끊어버리고 온전히 하나님의 말씀을 계속 들으며 하나님만을 경배하였다. 하나님을 사랑하니 하나님이 기뻐하시는 일을 행한 것이다.
결단과 적용
하나님을 기뻐하고 사랑하면 하나님이 기뻐하시는일을 기쁨으로 행한다. 하나님이 기뻐하지 않는 것들은 끊어버린다. 이것이 회개다. 그리고 말씀을 기쁨으로 순종하며 하나님만 섬긴다. 내가 사랑하며 좋아하기에 하나님을 믿고 따르면 내 삶이 행복하다. 억지로 끌려서 하는 것이 아니다. 좋아하고 사랑하면 못할것이 없다. 사랑은 죽음같이 강하기에 (아 8:6).

Observation and meditation on the text
Those who rejoiced and loved the Lord fasted and repented of their and their ancestors’ sins. They separated themselves from those idol worshipers in order not to be influenced by them anymore. They spent for 3 hours to listen to the book of the Law. Then, they cried out onto the Lord and praised and blessed the Lord as they worshiped only God.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The real genuine repentance is always followed by practices. They alienated themselves from the gentiles and only worshiped the Lord as they listened to the words of God. Since they recovered their love for God, they began to do everything to please the Lord.
Decisions and applications
If I really rejoice and love God, then I will willing to do everything to please the Lord. At the same time, I will annihilate my fellowship from idol worshipers, which is a real repentance. Furthermore, I will obey God’s words and serve the Lord only with all my heart. Since I follow the Lord out of my love for him voluntarily, I am living a happy life instead of being dragged or pushed by others. Since love is as strong as death(S of Songs 8:6) nothing can prevent me from loving and pleasing the Lord.
