‘어떤 경우에도 사람을 의지하지 말라’
본문 관찰과 묵상
술맡은 관원장과 떡 맡은 관원장의 꿈 이야기를 듣고 요셉이 해몽하였다. 3일 후에 술맡은 관원장은 복직이 될것이지만 떡 맡은 관원장은 죽임을 당하리라 해석하였다. 3일후 그대로 되어 술 맡은 관원장이 옥에서 나갔다. 요셉은 그가 잘 되면 자신을 옥에서 풀어달라고 부탁했으나 그는 요셉을 잊었다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 누구에게 잘 해주었다고 그를 의지하지 말라. 남에게 잘해준 것은 그냥 잊으라. 아무 댓가도 바라지 말라. 술 맡은 관원장이 요셉의 꿈 해석으로 얼마나 기뻐했을까? 그러나 옥에서 나가자 요셉을 잊는 것이다. 사람을 의지하지 말라는 음성을 듣는다.
결단과 적용
나도 믿었던 도끼에 발등을 여러번 찍혔다. 그렇게 잘해준 사람인데 보답은커녕 더 잘해주지 않았다고 욕하고 등을 돌렸다. 잘 해준 모든일은 그래서 바로 잊어버린다. 사람을 의지하지 않는다. 나를 기억하시는 하나님만을 의지하고 살아가리라.

Observation and meditation on the text
Joseph interpreted the dream of the cupbearer and the baker of the king Pharaoh. Three days later the cupbearer should be restored to his position, but the baker should be executed, Joseph interpreted. Three days later, the cupbearer was released from the prison. Joseph asked the cupbearer to remember him and mention him to the king so that he could be set free. However, he forgot joseph upon his release.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Never depend upon anyone whom I showed my favor a lot. Just forget what I have done good to others. Never expect any reward from them. How much the cupbearer was delighted and joyful when Joseph interpreted his dream? However, when he was set free from the prison, he totally forgot Joseph and his request. I hear the voice of the Lord that I should not rely on people.
Decisions and applications
I was betrayed by a few whom I trusted. I provided much favor to them, but they turned their back from me simply because I did not meet their desire of more favors. Therefore, I simply just forget whatever I have done good to others. I never expect any favor from them. I just rely on the Lord who always remembers me.
