‘다 언어로 쓴 유대인의 왕 예수라는 죄패’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수를 십자가에 못박고 조롱으로 “유대인의 왕 예수”라는 죄패를 히브리, 로마, 헬라어로 썼다. 하나님은 그 조롱이 예수를 만 왕의 왕으로 선포되게 하셨다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 세상으로부터 받는 조롱과 멸시가 결국 예수님이 만 왕의 왕이라고 선포되게 하는 반전의 역사를 이룬다.
3. 결단과 적용
그러므로 조롱과 거짓고소를 당해도 묵묵히 십자가 지고 가리라. 결국은 예수님이 전파되고 내가 사람의 종이 아닌 예수의 종임이 선포되게 하실 것이기 때문이다.
오늘의 기도
“우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를 인내는 연단을 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎 이로다” (롬 5:3-4). 오늘도 멸시천대 십자가는 내가 지고 감으로 주님이 만 왕의 왕 되심이 선포되게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS was written in multi languages’
Mt. 27:27-44
1. Observation and Meditation
As Jesus was being crucified, the soldiers placed a written charge above His head: "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS." While it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek to mock Him (Jn. 19:20), God transformed their intended insult into a universal declaration that Jesus is indeed the King of kings.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
I hear the Lord telling me that He can reverse any insult or affliction I face. What the world uses to shame me, God uses to proclaim the sovereignty of Christ. My hardships are not in vain; they are the backdrop for His glory.
3. Decisions and Applications
Regardless of the false accusations or insults I may encounter, I decide to take up my cross and follow Jesus in silence. I will not seek to defend myself before men, for I am a servant of Christ, not of people. I trust that through my endurance, Jesus will be witnessed by the world.
Today's Prayer
"We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4).
Lord, today I willingly take up my cross of ridicule and hardship. May my silent endurance allow Your sovereignty as the King of kings to be clearly declared.
