‘교만한 자를 잘 인도하는 지도자’
본문관찰과 묵상
에브라임과 므낫세로 2지파인 요셉 지파가 분 깃을 하나만 주었 다 고 여호수아에게 불평했다. 여호수아는 그들이 큰 민족으로 권능이 있으니 산지에 올라가 그들의 분 깃을 개척하라고 했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
요셉 지파는 가나안 족속이 철 병거를 가졌다고 망설였다. 여호수 아는 하나님이 함께 하시니 그들이 삼림지역에서 철 병거를 가진 가나안 족속을 쫒아낼수 있을 것이라고 용기를 주었다.
결단과 적용
교만으로 불평하는 자들을 리더는 어떻게 대해야 하는가? 첫째, 꾸짖는 대신 저들의 강한 점을 인정해 준다. 둘째, 그러니 가만히 앉아 받을 생각만 하지 말고 스스로 일어나 개척하라고 동기부여를 해 주었다. 셋째, 가나안이 가진 철 병거는 낮은 곳에서만 강하지 산위에서는 약하니 두려워하지 말라고 했다. 전략과 전술을 나누라!

Observation and meditation on the text
The two tribes of Joseph, Ephriam and Manasseh complained against Joshua out of pride that they received only one allotment. Instead of rebuking them, Joshua encouraged them to go up into forest and clear land for themselves because they were numerous and powerful.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
However, Joseph’s two tribes were reluctant to do that because the Canaanites in the valley had chariots fitted with iron. Joshua encouraged them again that they could drive them out of the valley because God would be with them.
Decisions and applications
How can I deal with complaining haughty people? First, instead of rebuking them recognize their strong assets. Second, motivate them from just receiving to start from scratch to acquire the land by themselves. Third, explain the weakness of the chariots of the enemies in the forest even though it may be powerful on the land. Share strategies and tactics with them.
