‘하나님이 세우신 권세에 복종하라’
본문관찰과 묵상
나라를 다스리는 권세는 하나님이 주신다. 그래서 그 권세에 순종해야한다. 악한 일을 행하는 자에게는 하나님의 진노를 집행 한다. 악한 권세자는 따르지 않는다. 납세의 의무도 잘 감당한다.
QT 를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
통치자는 하나님이 세우신다. ‘여호와께서 온갖 것을 그 쓰임에 적당하게 지으셨나니 악인도 악한 날에 적당하게 하셨다’ (잠 16:4). 악인도 하나님의 뜻을 이루게 하신다. 선한 통치자도 하나님의 뜻을 이룬다. 나는 권세에 순종해서 국법도 잘 잘 지키며 산다.
결단과 적용
하나님이 세운 통치자의 권세에 복종하지 않고 거스르는 자는 하나님을 거스림으로 심판을 자초한다. 내가 선한 일에 순종함으로 권세자와 통치하시는 하나님께 칭찬 받는다. 나는 하나님의 사역자 로 선을 베풀어 사람들이 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하며 산다 (마 5:16

Observation and meditation on the text
There is no authority except that which God has established. Therefore, I must obey them because they execute God’s wrath on those who rebel against God and do wrong. However, I must not obey the evil ruler. According to my conscience, I must pay taxes if I owe it.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God appoints the rulers. ‘The Lord works everything to its proper end even the wicked for a day of disaster’ (Pr. 16:4). God uses the wicked rulers to fulfill God’s will as well as the good rulers. As a Christian I must obey the authority and pay taxes because I owe it to the nation.
Decisions and applications
If I disobey the ruler whom God has appointed, I disobey God, and calls for God’s judgment. If I obey the authorities for the good causes, I will be commended by God as well as the rulers. As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I must live as a light and salt so that people may glorify God who is in heaven as they witness my life (Matt. 5:16).
