‘성도들이 헌신이 주께 열납되게 하라!’
1. 본문 관찰 및 묵상
하나님이 다윗을 택해 이스라엘을 회복시키는 왕이 되게 하셨다. 하나님이 그 휘하에 용사들이 모이게 했다. 블레셋의 진영을 뚫고 3 사람이 베들레헴 우물물을 길어왔다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
자신이 마시고 싶다는 우물물을 3사람이 생명의 위협을 무릅쓰고 길어온 것을 보고 회개하고 마시지 않고 여호와께 드렸다. 성도의 헌신은 주께 드려져야한다.
3. 결단 및 적용
나의 30년 목회와 PGM선교도 주님이 사람들을 보내 이루게 하셨다. 저들의 헌신이 주님께 드려져 주님께 영광을 돌리게 해야한다.
*오늘의 기도
주여 주님께 드려져야 할 성도들의 헌신을 내가 받지 않게 하소서. 오직 하나님께 영광 돌리는 성도들의 헌신이 되도록 내 영광이 되지 않게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘Let the work of volunteers be offered to God’
1 Chronicles 11:10–19
1. Observation and meditation on the Text
It was God who chose David and anointed him king to restore Israel, and it was God who brought mighty warriors under his command. Three of these warriors risked their lives to break through enemy lines and bring David water from the well in Bethlehem, which was under Philistine control.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
When David realized those three men had put their lives on the line for a cup of water, he refused to drink it. He repented of his thoughtless desire and poured the water out as an offering to the Lord. The dedication and sacrifice of volunteers must never be used for a leader's self-gratification—it must always be offered to God.
3. Decision and Application
Looking back, my 30 years of ministry have been sustained and completed by the selfless dedication of the congregation. I must continually surrender their sacrifices to the Lord for His glory alone, rather than taking credit for their devotion.
*Today’s prayer
Lord, let the sacrifices of this congregation be acceptable to You for Your glory. May such honor and credit go to those who have faithfully dedicated themselves, rather than to me as a leader. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
