‘제자도란?’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
제자도란 영육 간의 치유 사역을 통해 병든 자와 귀신 들린 자를 회복시켜, 그들이 다시 주님을 섬기는 제자가 되게 하는 것이다. 예수님의 치유 사역은 단순히 고통을 제거하는 것에 그치지 않고, 구약의 예언을 성취하시는 메시아적 사역이다 (마 8:17). 참된 제자도는 인자는 머리 둘 곳이 없으시다는 말씀을 기억하며, 도리어 우리가 주님이 거하실 '처소'가 되어드리는 삶이다 (요 14:23).
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
제자도는 죽은 자(영적으로 죽은 세상의 가치)를 섬기는 것이 아니라, 살아 계신 하나님을 섬기는 것이다. 주님을 따르는 길은 혈연을 넘어 예수 안에서 만난 이들을 내 아들과 어머니로 고백하며 섬기는 새로운 관계를 이룬다 (요 19:26-27). 결국 제자도의 완성은 모든 사람이 예수 그리스도 안에서 한 가족이 되게 하는 데 있다 (마 12:50).
3. 결단과 적용
"누구든지 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 하는 자가 내 형제요 자매요 어머니 이니라" (마 12:50). 예수를 따르는 자는 치유와 섬김의 삶으로 부르심을 받았다. 이제는 죽은 가치관을 따르지 않고, 부활하여 살아 계신 주님의 뜻에 순종하며 산다. 서로가 서로에게 따뜻한 거처가 되어주며, 그리스도 안에서 한 가족으로 살아가기를 결단한다.
오늘의 기도
주여, 제가 먼저 예수님의 사랑으로 치유 받게 하시고, 낮은 곳에서 섬기는 종의 마음을 갖게 하소서. 주님의 뜻을 따라 헌신하는 PGM의 모든 선교사님과 성도들, 그리고 본부 요원들이 복음 안에서 진정한 한 가족이 되어 사랑하게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘What is Discipleship?’
Mt. 8:14–22
1. Observation and Meditation
Discipleship involves participating in Jesus' ministry of healing the sick and delivering the demon-possessed, restoring them so they may, in turn, follow Him. These ministries are the direct fulfillment of biblical prophecy (Mt. 8:17). Furthermore, discipleship means becoming a dwelling place for Jesus —the One who had no place to lay His head on earth, yet finds a home within the hearts of His followers (Jn. 14:23).
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Through this reflection, I hear the Lord saying that discipleship prioritizes the living over the dead. It transcends biological ties, transforming those who follow Jesus into a new spiritual family (Jn. 19:26–27). True discipleship unites all believers as the family of Jesus (Mt. 12:50).
3. Decisions and Applications
Jesus said, “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother” (Mt. 12:50). Because His disciples are called to heal and serve, I will choose to focus my energy on the living—those who obey Jesus—rather than being bound by the “dead” traditions or past regrets. I commit to making my life a dwelling place for others so that we may live together as a family in Christ.
Today's Prayer
Lord, heal me so that I may serve others according to Your will. Grant that all PGM missionaries, supporters, and staff may live as one family in Jesus. In His holy name I pray, Amen.
