‘사랑으로 용서받고 공의로 순종하라’
본문 관찰과 묵상
하나님을 불순종하는 것은 하나님을 멸시하는 것이다. 하나님은 진노하사 전염병으로 이스라엘 백성을 멸하려고했다. 이때 모세가 중보기도 했다. 하나님이 들으시고 용서했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
그러나 하나님을 멸시한 백성은 갈렙과 그의 후손을 제외하고는 가나안에 들어가지 못하게 하셨다. 하나님은 사랑과 공의의 하나님이심을 선포했다.
결단과 적용
나 한 사람의 불순종은 나의 후손도 약속을 받지 못하게 한다. 나 한 사람의 순종은 나의 후손 대대로 하나님이 주시는 복을 받게 하신다. 용서받은 백성은 적군을 피해 광야 길로 피하게 하셨다. 그러나 그들은 약속의 땅에는 들어가지 못했다. 오늘 용서받아 살아난 나는 순종하며 살리라. 사랑과 공의로 오늘을 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
To disobey the Lord means to contempt God. Out of extreme rage, God wanted to destroy the Israelites by the plague. However, right at that time, Moses began to pray for the Jews. Upon hearing his intercessory prayer, God changed his mind. God forgave their sins.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Even though they were forgiven from their sins by God, the Israelites were not permitted to enter the promised land Canaan except Caleb and his descendants who honored God by obeying God’s word. God declared himself that God was God of love, but at the same time, God of justice.
Decisions and applications
If I disobey the Lord, due to one man’s disobedience not only I but also my descendants cannot receive God’s covenantal blessings. On the other hand, if I obey the Lord, one man’s obedience will bring about Gods’ blessings upon my descendants. The forgiven people was provided a new way out from the attack of their enemies to wilderness. However, they were not allowed to enter the promised land. Therefore, I who have been forgiven from my sins and revived by his grace and love, I will obey the Lord. I will live today by the love of God and by the justice of God.
