‘내가 버려야 할 2가지 나쁜 습관’
본문 관찰과 묵상
나는 죄성을 가진 죄인이기에 나도 모르게 습관화된 죄가 있다. 첫째, 다른 사람들을 비방하고 정죄하는 것이다. 내가 하나님이 되어 사는 것이다. 둘째, 내일 일을 모르면서 장래를 자랑하는 것이다. 이 두가지를 버리고 매 순간 주님이 기뻐하시는 선을 행하면서 살아가야한다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
아담과 하와를 죄 짓게 한 마귀의 거짓말은 내가 하나님처럼 되게 하는 것이다. 남을 정죄하는 것은 마귀에게 속아 죄 짓는 것이다. 버려야 한다. 안개같은 인생에 내일을 장담할수 없다. 나의 자랑을 버려야 한다.
결단과 적용
내일 일은 난 모른다. 그래서 하루 하루 주님이 기뻐하시는 삶을 매일 살아가는 것이 해 아래서 가장 보람있는 일이다. 주님께 헌신하고 사람들을 사랑하며 섬기며 사는 것이 힘들어도 그 보람은 수고한 후에 기쁨이다. 그렇게 남은 삶을 살리라!
‘2 bad habits I must throw away’
James. 4:11-17
Observation and meditation on the text
Since I am born to be a sinner, I have established habitual sins. First, I unconsciously judge and criticize other people. I live as if I am God. Second, even though I do not know what will happen to me tomorrow, I keep on boasting of my strength and power to ensure and guarantee of my future. I am challenged to throw these 2 sinful habits away and simply obey the Lord to do good things in the eye of God daily.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Satan deceived Adam and Eve to commit sins; if you eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall become God. If I judge other people, that means I am deceived by Satan and commit sin. I must throw it away. At the same time, I have developed another bad habit; I guarantee the wellbeing of my future life without knowing what will happen tomorrow in this temporal fog like life. I must throw it away too.
Decisions and applications
I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow. Therefore, I live day by day as I please the Lord by doing what God satisfies, which is the most meaningful life on earth under the sun. Even though it is tough and rough to love and serve God and people, I can enjoy genuine peace and rest after fulfilling God’s mission daily. I will keep on living such a life for the rest of my life.
