‘각자 사명대로 순종할 때 표징이 세워진다’
본문관찰과 묵상
제사장들은 백성이 요단을 다 건널 때까지 요단 가운데 서있는 순종을 했다. 백성들은 언약궤를 따라 건너 순종했다. 2지파 반 4만명은 약속대로 앞서 요단을 건넜다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
믿음의 공동체인 교회의 모든 지체는 은사별, 직업별, 존재론적인 전문인사역이 있다. 가정과 교회에서는 각자에게 주신 사명을 순종할 때 공동체에 하나님이 함께 하시는 표징이 세워진다.
결단과 적용
각 지파에서 한 명씩 12명이 요단강 물 속에서 12돌을 주워 표징으로 세웠다. 후손들이 물어볼 때 하나님이 요단강의 물이 멈추어 이스라엘이 구원받은 것을 기념하는 표징이라 했다. 나의 삶에도 주님이 함께 하신 표징이 너무 많다. 증거하며 살리라!
‘A sign of God will be established when I obey’

Observation and meditation on the text
The priest obeyed God by standing still in the river until the last one crossed Jordan. People obeyed following the Ark of the Covenant too. The 40 thousand of the two and a half tribes obeyed crossing the Jordan river ahead of the other tribes.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Each one in the community of faith, church, has professional function according to one’s gift, job, and ontological mission as a Christian. When I and all other ones obey God by carrying on God’s call for each, a sign that reveals God’s presence will be established and erected.
Decisions and applications
12 representatives from the 12 tribes picked up 12 stones in the Jordan River and established a sign. When their descendants ask what the sign means, they will say it is to remember and honor God’s salvation for the Israelites by cutting off the flow of water of Jordan. I have numerous signs that reveal God’s presence in my life. I will witness it in my daily life.
