‘믿음의 공동체인 가정과 교회의 본질’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
믿음의 공동체는 제자 중의 작은 자도 끝까지 찾아 구원에 이르게 한다. 범죄한 성도는 본인에게 지적하고, 증인과 함께 회개할 기회를 준다. 회복시켜야 한다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
교회에 알리고 죄를 지적해도 회개하지 않으면 이방인처럼 대한다. 회개한 자는 천국열쇠를 이 땅에서 풀어 천국을 살게 한다. 두 세 사람이 이렇게 모이면 교회가 되고 이 땅에 천국이 된다.
3. 결단과 적용
연약한 자가 범죄했을 때 나는 신뢰해 주었다. 그 신뢰를 악으로 갚는 자를 3번이나 회개하도록 도왔다. 그래도 듣지 않고 멋대로 행할 때 나는 그와 싸우지 않고 이방인처럼 그냥 내버려 두었다. 하나님이 다스릴 것이다. 반대로 이 땅에서 아프게 하는 자들을 풀어주고 천국으로 인도하는 자 두세 사람만 있어도 그런 가정과 교회는 부흥하리라.
오늘의 기도
“화평케 하는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 하나님의 성숙한 아들 (헬: 휘오스)이라 일컬음을 받게 되리라” (마 5:9). 우리 안에 있는99마리의 양보다 길 잃은 한 마리의 양을 찾아 주님께로 인도하는 증인으로 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.

Mt. 18:10-20
1. Observation and Meditation
A faith community must actively seek out the "lost sheep" to bring them to salvation. If a member of the community is found in sin, the leader (or the person affected) must first speak to them privately. If they do not listen, two or three witnesses should be brought in so that the person may be encouraged to repent and be fully restored to the fellowship.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
If a person refuses to repent even after being confronted by witnesses, the church must treat them as a "pagan" (an outsider in need of the Gospel). However, if a sinner repents, they are released by the "keys of the Kingdom," allowing them to experience the life of the Kingdom of God on earth. When even two or three members gather in Jesus’ name for this purpose, they become the Church of Christ, enjoying the presence and power of God’s Kingdom together.
3. Decisions and Applications
When I encounter a weak member who has faltered, I choose to extend trust. I have forgiven those who betrayed my kindness—returning evil for good—at least three times. However, when they steadfastly refuse to repent, I have chosen to treat them as a pagan. Rather than engaging in arguments or conflict, I have placed them in God’s hands, trusting that He will deal with them justly. Conversely, when two or three gather to use the "keys" to open the Kingdom through forgiveness, the family and the church will see revival and a restoration of the true essence of Christ’s Church.
Today's Prayer
Lord, empower me to seek out the lost so that I may lead them back to You. Grant me the grace to use the keys of the Kingdom by forgiving those who trespass against me. For those who refuse to repent, help me to release them into Your hands and trust Your sovereign timing. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
