‘God gives hope to those lost in despair’

Ezekiel 40:1–16

1. Observation and meditation on the text

Fourteen years after the fall of Jerusalem, God transported Ezekiel back to the land of Israel in a vision. There, God showed him a glorious future hope: the detailed plans for the restoration of the ruined Temple.

2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

The Lord is calling me to allow the temple of God in my own heart to be restored. This temple is not a physical building, but a living dwelling place where God reigns as Lord. Having God reside within me is my greatest hope and highest blessing.

3. Decisions and applications

God cannot coexist with sin. A church or heart may gather believers, but if the Lord is not enthroned as its Master, it remains an empty structure. Today, I surrender my heart completely and enthrone Jesus as the true Master of my life, making my heart a holy temple for Him.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I acknowledge that if You do not dwell in my heart, it becomes easy ground for the enemy to gain a foothold. But when You reside within me, no evil force can prevail. Because You live in me, empower me today to resist and defeat every attack of the enemy. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
