‘피할 수 없는 심판의 공정성을 보라!’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님의 심판은 칼과 기근과 사나운 짐승과 전염병으로 임한다. 의인의 대표인 노와, 다니엘, 욥이 있어도 그들 자신의 의로 심판에서 생명은 건져도 하나님의 심판 자체를 막을 수는 없다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
혹 그 심판을 피해 남은 자녀들이 있어도 그 자녀들의 악한 소행을 보면 왜 하나님이 심판을 꼭 내리시는지 그 정당성을 깨닫게 된다. 하나님의 심판은 이유 없이 하시는 것이 아니다.
결단과 적용
헬무트 틸리케의 말 처럼 하나님의 심판 앞에 나는 침묵해야 한다. 하나님은 내 뜻대로 아니면 나의 원수들의 뜻대로 움직이지 않는다. 하나님은 공의와 정의로 심판하신다. 그 앞에서 나는 침묵하며 의롭다고 하는 사람들의 악행을 보며 하나님의 심판의 정당성을 깨닫는다. ‘은혜든 심판이든 주님 주시는 대로 받겠습니다.’

Observation and meditation on the text
God judges the sinners by the sword, famine, wild beasts, and plague. When God pours out God’s wrath, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could not stop God’s judgment but only save themselves by their righteous life.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Even if there are some survivors, our children, from God’s judgment, I realized the fairness of God’s judgment as I witness their wickedness. God never punishes the sinners by God’s judgment randomly or arbitrarily without specific reasons.
Decisions and applications
As Helmut Thielicke (1908-1986) challenges me, I must remain in silence even in the middle of false accusations. God never judges neither for me nor for my opponents. God judges by God’s justice and righteousness. Before the silent God, I must remain in silence too. And I realize the fairness of God’s judgment as I see the wickedness of people who call themselves righteous. As Helmut Thielicke says, ‘whether it is grace or judgment, I receive it.’ As Jesus shows me, I will take His way.
