‘Believers who strengthen me to be bold.’
Acts 28:11-22
Observation and meditation on the text
Three months later, they put out to sea in a ship Alexandria that had winter in the isle of Malta. The decoration of the bow was the shape of idol which they believed their it was their protection god. At Puteoli they were met by the believers and stayed with them for a week before they went to Rome. The believers in Rome came out to welcome them.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Paul was strengthened by the believers to be bold. Paul was allowed to be living by himself with one soldier who guarded him. Freely Paul could meet the Jews and explained to them how and why he was sent to Rome. To the Jews Paul lucidly declared that he did not come to Rome to sue the Jews. Paul simply preached the gospel to them to give hope for the entire Jews.
Decisions and applications
Since he appealed his case to Caesar, Paul was sent to Rome. However, the real reason for Paul to come to Rome was to preach the gospel to the Romans. Therefore, Paul did his best to preach the gospel as often as he could. I have come to San Francisco to preach the gospel too. Tomorrow I will go to New York to preach the gospel. Lord, thank you so much! Lord thank you so much for these opportunities to preach the gospel. Lord strengthen me by the believers who have invited me!
