‘두 큰 독수리를 의지하다 망한 유다’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님은 에스겔에게 수수께끼와 비유로 말했다. 큰 독수리가 연한 가지를 꺽어 성읍에 두었다. 그 땅의 종자를 꺽어 심었는데 연약한 포도자무가 됬다. 그가 또 다른 큰 독수리를 의지했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
큰 독수리인 느브갓네살 왕이 연한 가지 여호야긴왕 을 잡아 바벨 론성에 두었다. 유대땅에 시드기야를 왕으로 세웠다. 그 또 다른 큰 독수리인 애굽을 의지하자 바벨론이 유다를 완전 멸망시킬 것이다.
결단과 적용
하나님을 의지하지 않고 두 큰 독수리 였던 바벨론 과 애굽을 의지한 유다의 여호야긴 왕이나 시드기야는 결국 그들 손에 망한다. 나는 지금 누구를 의지하나? 절망속에 받은 은혜가 크다. 오직 주만 바라보며 주님의 음성을 듣고 살리라.
‘Judah fell as they relied on the two big eagles’
Eze 17:1-10
Observation and meditation on the text
God spoke to Ezekiel in allegory and parable. A great eagle broke off the top of a cedar branch and planted it in his city. The eagle also took a seedling of Judah and planted it there too. However, it became a weak vine. And it relied on the other great eagle.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The great eagle, which was the king of Babylon took the Judean king Jehoiachin, and he put him in the city of Babylon. The king also enthroned Zedekiah in Jerusalem. When he began to rely on another big eagle, Egypt, Babylon would destroy Judah.
Decisions and applications
After all, such Judean kings as Jehoiachin and Zedekiah would be destroyed by the two great eagles Babylon and Egypt as much as they relied on them. Whom do I rely on now? I have received enormous grace of God in despair and afflictions. Therefore, I will fix my eyes on Jesus only so that I may listen to his voice for the rest of my life.
