‘하나님이 함께 하는 자가 승리자다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
아버지 이새도 막내아들 다윗이 왕이 되리라 믿지 못했다. 그러나 회개할 줄 알았던 다윗을 하나님은 자기 마음에 합한자라고 했다. 하나님은 그와 맺은 언약을 끝까지 지켜 만왕의 왕이 되게 하셨다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님이 택하신 사람은 혹 죄를 짓는다 해도 회초리와 채찍으로 죄를 벌하시며 그의 인자와 성실하심으로 다시 회복시킨다. 하나님의 이름의 명예를 위해 하나님은 그의 언약을 끝까지 지킨다.
결단과 적용
나를 택하시고 구원하신 하나님이 내가 혹 지은죄를 회개할 때 하나님은 항상 나를 용서하시고 회복시켜 주셨다. 나를 위함도 있지만 하나님의 이름의 명예를 위해 하나님은 나와의 언약도 지켜 주신다. 그 하나님이 나와 함께 하시니 사람은 두려워하지 않는다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jesse, who was David’s father could not even dream that his youngest son David would become the king of Israel. However, God called him ‘a man after God’s own heart,’ when David repented of his sins. Therefore, God made covenant with David and kept it all the way to the end until God enthroned him as the King of all kings.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God ultimately restores those whom God has chosen with his mercy and faithfulness by punishing their sins with his rod and flogging so that they may repent of their sins. For the sake of honor of His name, God never fails to keep his covenant all the way to the end.
Decisions and applications
God who has chosen and saved me always forgives and pardons me and restores my broken life whenever I repent of my sins. God keeps God’s covenant for the sake of the honor of his name as well as for me. Since such faithful God is with me, I am not afraid of any people.
