‘아버지와의 언약이 나와의 언약으로!’
본문관찰과 묵상
솔로몬이 성전과 왕궁을 건축하고 봉헌하자 하나님이 다시 솔로몬에게 나타나셨다. 여기까지는 하나님이 그의 아버지 다윗에게 한 언약을 지켜주셔서 형통하게 하셨다. 그러나 앞으로는 다윗의 언약이 솔로몬 자신의 언약으로 받아 하나님의 말씀대로 순종할 때 왕위와 성전을 지켜주시리라 약속하셨다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
‘나의 나됨은 하나님의 은혜라’(고전 15:10). 하나님이 나의 조상과 약속한 것을 지켜주심으로 내가 여기까지 왔다. 그러나 이제부터는 내가 하나님의 언약을 내게 주신 언약으로 받고 순종하여야한다. 그렇지 않고 우상숭배에 빠지면 나의 나됨도 성전도 나라도 버림받고 만민의 조롱거리가 될 것이다.
결단과 적용
오늘까지 함께 하여주신 주님을 찬양한다. 내가 증조할머니부터 조부모 나의 부모에게 하신 하나님의 언약으로 축복받고 살았다. 그러나 이제부터, 특별히 아내가 먼저 천국으로 옮긴 이때부터 하나님의 언약이 내게 주신 언약이 되도록 말씀에 순종하고 우상숭배에서 계속 하나님 중심으로 살아가리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
No sooner Solomon dedicated the temple of God and his palace upon completion than God appeared to him again. Solomon realized that it was God’s blessing upon him due to God’s unchanging covenant with his father David. Now Solomon was challenged that God’s covenant for his forefathers should be his own covenant by his own faith. God promised that God would keep his kingship and the temple of God forever if Solomon would live up to what he was taught and challenged by God.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
‘By the grace of God, I am what I am’ (I Co. 15:10). I have lived and kept by God’s covenant to my forefathers up to now. However, from now on I must obey God’s covenant by accepting his covenant for me personally. If not, and if I fall into idol worship, my kingship and the temple of God should be deserted and become obsolete enough to be ridiculed and mocked by all nations.
Decisions and applications
I praise the Lord for his faithfulness to accompany me up to now. I have been blessed by God’s covenant with my great grand mom, and grandparents, and my parents. But from now on, especially since my wife was taken by God to heavenly place, I must obey God’s covenant to become my covenant and must not fall into any idol worship. I will live Christ-centered life for the rest of my life.
