‘나는 예수의 종인가? 고함치는 사람의 종인가?’
본문관찰과 묵상
빌라도는 군중들의 요구대로 예수를 채찍질했다. 군인들도 가시관을 씌우고 왕이입는 자색옷을 입히고 조롱했다. 십자가에 못박아 죽일 이유는 자신이‘하나님의 아들’이라고한 신성모독죄라했다. 빌라도는 그말에 떨었다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
폭도들은 빌라도가 예수를 놓아주려하자 가이사를 반역하는 것이라 협박했다. 예수가 무죄함을 알면서도 예수편에 서지못하자 재판석 가바다에 앉았다. 예나 지금이나 진리를 모르는 폭도들은 무죄한 사람을 죽인다.
결단과 적용
나는 정의와 공의로 사는 목사인가? 사람들의 소리에 진리를 무시하고 사람을 기쁘게 하는 사람의 종인가? 이 문제에 있어서는 항상 마음이 편하다. 진리편에 서서 당하는 고통은 예수님이 가신 길이기에 오늘도 기쁨으로 그 길을 간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Pilate submitted himself to the insurgents and had Jesus flogged. The soldiers put a crown of thorns on his head and clothed him in a purple robe, and they ridiculed Jesus. Jews instigated that Jesus deserved death penalty due to his blasphemy because Jesus said he was the son of God. Upon hearing that, Pilate was more afraid of Jesus.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
When the insurgents noticed that Pilate was trying to release Jesus, they threatened Pilate that he was opposing Caesar. Therefore, Pilate could not stand for Jesus but to sit at the Gabbatha, the judgment seat. Throughout history the rioters who do not know the truth can easily kill innocent people.
Decisions and applications
Am I a pastor who is just and righteous? Or am I a servant of people who disregard truth but listen to the voice of people? Pertaining to this issue, I feel very comfortable. Any affliction and pains I may have because I am standing on the truth is the way of Jesus. Therefore, I take the way with joy and willingness.
