‘영적인 진공상태는 없다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
사울에게서 하나님의 영이 떠나자 사울은 악령에 사로잡혔다. 신하들이 수금 잘 타는 다윗소년을 ‘여호와께서 함께 하시는자’라고 추천하였다. 사울이 그를 만족하게 여기고 자기 무기드는 종으로 삼았다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
홀로 양을 치면서 수금을 타며 하나님을 찬양하였던 다윗은 영성에 뿌리가 깊었다. 찬양가운데 하나님이 늘 함께 하셨다. 사울도 성령받고 새 사람이 되었지만 뿌리가 깊지 못하였다. 성령이 떠나면 악령이 다스린다.
결단과 적용
영적인 진공상태는 없다. 성령충만 하지 않으면 악령이 틈타고 들어온다. 뿌리깊은 나무는 어떤 비바람도 견딘다. 나무의 됨됨이는 그 깊은 뿌리에 있다. 나의 됨됨이는 말씀과 기도로 늘 성령충만한 영적인 뿌리에 있다. 오늘도 올라감이 아닌 내려감으로 흔들림 없는 뿌리깊은 나무로 산다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Saul was immediately possessed by evil spirit from the Lord when the Holy Spirit departed from him. Saul’s attendants recommended a music therapy by listening to David’s playing lyre who was with God. Saul was pleased with David and hired him as his armor-bearer.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
David was rooted in deep spirituality by praising the Lord in the pasture to take care of the flock with God only. God was with him in his praises. Even though Saul was anointed by the Holy Spirit and became a new man, his spirituality was shallow. No sooner the Holy Spirit departed from him than Saul was possessed by evil spirit.
Decisions and applications
There is no such a stage as spiritual vacuum inside of me. If a tree is rooted in earth deeply, it perseveres strong windy storms. Trees speak of themselves by their roots. I am who I am through my spirituality rooted in depth in the living words of God and prayers by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, today, instead of showing off my visible upward mobility, I want to be rooted in depth invisibly in the words of God and prayers through my down mobility driven by the Holy Spirit.
