‘선지자는 하나님 뜻의 표징이다’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님은 에스겔에게 하나님 메시지의 표징이 되라고 했다. 하나님의 눈에 기뻐하는 것이 성전인데 성전을 파괴할 것이다. 에스겔의 눈에 기뻐하는 아내를 죽게 해 에스겔이 하나님의 심판의 메시지의 표징이 되게 했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님은 에스겔에게 아내가 죽어도 애도하지 말라고 했다. 성전이 파괴되어도 애도하지 말라는 것이다. 성전 건물이 우상이 되 어 하나님은 우상을 멸하고 에스겔은 하나님의 심판의 표징이 된다.
결단과 적용
이사야, 호세아, 에스겔, 다니엘 등 모든 선지자들은 하나님의 심판의 메시지의 표징이 되었다. 자신들이 먼저 심판 받은 자처럼 벌고벗고 살든지 좌우로 누워 똥에 구운 음식을 먹든지, 아내를 데려가도 애도하지 않든지 표징으로 산다. 나도 그렇게 산다.

Observation and meditation on the text
God told Ezekiel to be the sign of God’s message. It was the temple of God which was beloved by God’s eyes. However, God would destroy it. It was Ezekiel’s wife who was beloved by the eyes of Ezekiel. And God would let his wife die, which could become the sign of God’s will for God’s judgment for Judah.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God spoke to Ezekiel never to mourn on the death of his wife. It was God’s will for everyone that they should not mourn on the destruction of the temple of God. The temple of God was a mere another idol for the idolaters. Therefore, God would destroy the idol which they beloved much more than God Himself. And Ezekiel would be the sign of God’s judgment for every Jew.
Decisions and applications
Such great prophets as Isaiah, Hosea, Ezekiel and Daniel were used by God as the signs of God to prophesy God’s judgment. They lived as if they were judged by God; lived in shame naked, lying on both sides and ate food baked by dung like a prisoner, married to a prostitute, and Ezekiel lost his beloved wife. However, they did not mourn out of sorrow because they prophesied through their life as God’s sign. Therefore, I am not mourning because I am another prophet who must prophesy through my life as God’s sign. Praise the Lord for using me!
