‘하나님의 심판은 일벌백계다’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님이 사마리아와 예루살렘을 심판했다. 그들의 죄는 무고한 자의 피를 흘렸고 우상을 섬겨 영적 간음과 살인죄다. 그 결과 성소를 더럽히고 안식일을 범했다. 심판은 일벌백계를 위함이다.

우상숭배는 영육 간에 음행으로 수탈로 약자와 무고한 자를 죽이는 것이기에 하나님은 그 죄를 죽여 죄인을 살리기 원하신다. 모든 사람을 경채 하려 본보기로 심판하시니 나도 경고를 받는다.
결단과 적용
‘진리를 알지니 진리가 너를 자유케 하리라’ (요 8:31). ‘주는 영이시니 주의 영이 계신 곳에는 자유가 있느니라’ (고후 3:17). 하나님 앞에 서서 나를 살피고 회개할 것은 회개하고 진리에 서 있으면 누가 무슨 말을 해도 자유 함을 주시니 주님을 찬양한다.
‘God’s judgment is the red card to teach sinners’
Eze 23:36-49
Observation and meditation on the text
God judged Samaria and Jerusalem. They killed the innocent. By worshiping idols, they committed adultery physically and spiritually. They were the murderers and idolaters. As a result, they desecrated the temple of God and broke the Sabbath. God’s judgment is to teach all people so that they may be awakened not to commit such sins for self-destruction.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Since idol worship brings about adultery physically and spiritually and kill the innocent and exploit the poor, God destroys such sins to save the sinners by giving them clear warning messages and instructions. Since God’s judgement is for everybody not to repeat stupidity of carbon copying of their sins, I humbly accept God’s teachings.
Decisions and applications
‘You will know the truth and the truth will set you free’ (John. 8:31). ‘The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom’ (II Co 3:17). I repent of my sins immediately after probing my heart if there is any sin. At the same time, when
I realize I am standing on the truth I enjoy peace and freedom. I praise the Lord who loves me with justice and righteousness.
