‘교회에 목회자를 세우는 이유와 목적’
본문 관찰과 묵상
바울이 에베소 교회를 디모데에게 맡겼다. 첫째, 바울자신이 복음을 전해 낳은 영적인 아들이었기 때문이다. 둘째, 복음 외의 다른 교훈과, 신화와 족보를 통한 변론을 내지 않게 하려 함이라.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
그러므로 목사는 복음만 전함으로 믿음으로 구원받게 하려는 하나님의 경륜을 이루어야 한다. 율법을 주신 이유는 법을 지키지 않는 자들을 위함이니 범죄함을 깨닫고 믿음으로 주께 돌아오게 하려 하심이라. 그래서 정결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑안에 성도들을 하나되게 하려 함이라.
결단과 적용
목사로서 30년 한 교회에서 최선을 다했으나 뒤 돌아보면 정말 하나님 앞과 사람 앞에 부끄러울 뿐이다. 복음으로 낳은 영적자녀가 있는가? 내가 은퇴했어도 지금 선한 양심과 거짓 없는 믿음으로 사는 성도가 있는가? 이것이 목사의 사명임을 확실히 깨닫고 회개 하며 주님께 용서를 구한다. PGM을 통해서 이를 이루며 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
Paul appointed Timothy as a pastor for the church in Ephesus. First, Paul appointed Timothy because he was Paul’s spiritual son who was born again by Paul’s gospel. Second, Timothy was appointed as a pastor so that Christians in his church should not teach false doctrines beside the gospel, and prevent them from devoting themselves to myths, endless genealogies to promote controversial speculations.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Therefore, I, as a pastor must preach only the gospel of Jesus Christ so that God’s way of saving the lost souls may be accomplished only by faith. The Law is given for the sake of the sinners so that they may be convicted and repent of their sins so that they may return to Jesus by faith. Therefore, I am called to be a pastor to show the love of God so that all church members might love for one another from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Decisions and applications
As a pastor I have dedicated myself to serve one church for 30 years, in retrospect, I feel sorry and shame before God and people. How many spiritual sons and daughters have I given to a birth by preaching and teaching and showing the gospel? Are there some proof of spiritual fruits I have been bearing upon my retirement who are still living with a pure heart, a good conscience, a sincere faith? For that reason, I am sure that I have been called as a pastor. I repent of my shortcomings and ask God for forgiveness of my sins. I will do my best to be a better pastor through PGM from now on.
