‘다윗의 언약은 예수의 통치로 완성된다’

에스라의 후손 에단이 남긴 마스길, 즉 교훈시다. 유다 왕국이 망했다. 그러나 시편기자는 창조주, 구원자 하나님이 다윗과 맺은 언약은 주의 공의와 인자와 진실로 성실하게 이루실 것을 찬양했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
오늘 ‘하나님의 열심’으로 성취하신 다윗왕조는 다윗의 후손 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 성취되었다. 한 아기가 다윗의 후손으로 나서 다윗의 왕좌에 군림하여 정의와 공의로 영원히 다스린다 (사 9:6-7).
결단과 적용
나의 열심이 아닌 하나님의 열심이 구원을 성취하신다. 다윗의 언약이 예수 그리스도를 통해 성취되었고 앞으로 영원히 계속될 것이다. 이를 찬양하고 기뻐하는 자가 복된 자이다. ‘나의 힘이 되신 여호와여 내가 주를 사랑합니다. 주는 나의 반석,요새,건지시는이, 하나님, 피할 바위,방패,구원의 뿔, 산성이시라 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 기도하리니 내 원수들에게서 구원하신다 (시 18:1-3).

Observation and meditation on the text
This psalm is a Maskil, for instructive lesson by one of the descendants of Ezra, Ethan. The Kingdom of Judah was destroyed. However, the psalmist praised the Lord in his extreme despair because he believed that God who was the creator, savior would accomplish God’ covenant with David by God’s justice, mercy, truth and faithfulness.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
David’s dynasty has been restored and fully accomplished today by ‘the Zeel of the Lord,’ through Jesus Christ who is a descendant of David. ‘A child is born to us through a descendant of David, Jesus Christ who is enthroned as the king, Savior and God who reigns with justice and righteousness forever’
(Isa 9:6-7).
Decisions and applications
It is not my zeal but the zeal of the Lord who accomplishes God’s salvation. God’s covenant for David was accomplished through Jesus Christ, it will last forever. Blessed is those who are delighted in Jesus and who praise the Lord. ‘I love you Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies’ (Ps 18:1-3).
