‘고난 속에서 하나님중심으로 돌아오라’
본문 관찰과 묵상
바벨론에 의해 예루살렘 성전이 파괴되고 백성들이 죽임을 당하며 하나님의 이름이 이방인들에게 모욕을 당했다. 고난당하는 이유는 죄 때문이다. 회개하고 하나님중심으로 돌아와야 한다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님이 주시는 고난은 나를 멸망시키려 하심이 아니다. 죄를 회개하고 주님 중심으로 돌이키면 주의 백성과 양은 주님이 구원 하기 위함이다. 그래야 주의 이름이 나로 인하여 영광을 받으신다.
결단과 적용
매일의 삶이 나의 정욕중심의 삶에서 하나님중심의 삶이 되야 한다. ‘내가 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이라’ (빌 1:21). 하나님은 고난가운데 내가 깨닫고 주께 돌아오기를 기다리신다. 고난 당한 것이 내게 유익이 될 것이다 (시 119:67, 71). 첫째, 내가 하나님중심의 삶으로 돌아오고 둘째, 하나님이 영광받으신다.

Observation and meditation on the text
By Babylon the temple of God in Jerusalem was destroyed, and the name of God was humiliated by the gentiles as the people of God were killed and mocked. It was their sin, which caused such unprecedented suffering. The only way for restoration was to repent of their sins and return to God-centered life.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
When God allows me to suffer God never wants to destroy me by it. God wants to save me through repentance due to my sufferings. Then God delivers God’s people and flock. Then, God’s name will be honored and glorified through me.
Decisions and applications
My everyday life must be God-centered one instead of self-centered one. ‘To me to live is Christ and to die is gain’ (Phil 1:21). God wants me to return to God as I repent of my sins due to my suffering so that I may restore God-centered life. ‘It was good for me to be afflicted (Ps. 119:67,71) for two reasons. First, I can restore God-centered life. Second, God will be glorified.
