‘하나님은 온유한 자를 구원하여 찬송 받으신다.’
본문 관찰과 묵상
히스기야왕 때 앗수르 군대의 공격으로부터 예루살렘을 구원한 것을 찬양한 시다 (왕하 18,19장). 하늘의 판결은 하나님이 이 땅의 온유한 자를 구원하심으로 주를 찬송케 하려 하심이다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님이 내리시는 판결은 이 땅에 그 누구도 막지 못한다. 하나님의 심판은 하룻밤 동안 18만 5천명을 멸망시키고 예루살렘을 구원하셨다. 나의 구원은 오직 주 께로부터 임한다.
결단과 적용
앗수르 왕 산헤립의 조롱과 협박에 히스기야는 하나님께 나가 기도했다. ‘하나님 여호와여 이제 우리를 그의 손에서 구하옵소서 그리하시면 천하만국이 주 여호와가 홀로 하나님이신 줄 알리이다’ (왕하 19:19). 나의 구원은 하나님이 하나님이심을 알리심이다!

Observation and meditation on the text
It is a psalm of praise to the Lord who had saved Jerusalem from the attack of Assyria when Hezekiah was the king of Judah (II Kings 18,19). God’s heavenly judgment saved the afflicted so that they might praise the Lord.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
No one can prevent God from pronouncing his heavenly judgment on earth. God’s heavenly judgment destroyed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers at one night and saved Jerusalem. My salvation has come only from God.
Decisions and applications
Hezekiah prayed to God when he was mocked and threatened by Sennacherib. ‘Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God’ (II King 19:19). My salvation pronounces that the Lord is God who has saved me.
