‘죄를 고백한 자에게 주시는 말씀’
본문 관찰과 묵상
여호와가 발람의 눈을 밝히자 여호와의 사자가 손에 칼을 들고 서 있는 모습을 보았다. 발람은 자신이 범죄했다고 고백했다. 깨달은 자에게 주시는 메시지는 ‘내가 네게 이르는 말만 선포하라’ 였다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님이 내 눈을 열어주시지 않으면 나는 하나님의 뜻을 보지도 듣지도 못한다. 내가 죄를 고백할 때 하나님이 주시는 메시지는 ‘내가 네게 주는 말만 말하라’ 이다. 주여 내 눈을 여시사 내가 주를 보게 하소서! (시 119:18).
결단과 적용
말씀을 듣고 행하는 자가 지혜로운 자이고 행치 않는 자는 모래 위에 집을 짓는 어리석은 자다 (마 7:24-27). ‘행함이 없는 믿음은 그 자체가 죽은 것이다’ (약 2:17). ‘영혼 없는 몸이 죽은 것같이 행함이 없는 믿음은 죽은 것이니라’(약 2:26). 오늘 순종하며 살리라!

Num 22:31-40
Observation and meditation on the text
God opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of God stood in the road with his sword drawn. Balaam confessed he sinned against God. God’s message to those who confessed their sins is ‘to speak only what I tell you’ (Nu 22:35).
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Unless God opens my eyes, I cannot see nor hear God’s will. When I confess my sins God’s message is ‘to speak only what I tell you.’ Lord, please open my eyes so that I may see you (Ps. 119:18).
Decisions and applications
If I hear God’s words and put them into practice, I shall be a wise man. If not, I shall be a foolish man who builds my house on sand (Matt 7:24-27). ‘Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.’ (Jas 2:17). ‘As the body without spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.’ (Jas 2:26). Today, I will obey his words.
