‘나도 이방인을 위한 복음의 제사장이다’
본문관찰과 묵상
이방인을 위한 복음의 제사장으로 불림 받은 바울은 하나님의 일에 대해 한가지 자랑한다고 했다. 그가 복음을 전한 것은 말과 행위와 표적과 기사를 나타내게 하신 성령의 능력으로 한 것이다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 다른 주의 종들보다 더 열심으로 사역했으나 이는 내가 한 것이 아니요 내 안에 계신 주님이 한 것이다. ‘나의 나됨은 하나님의 은혜다’ (고전 15:10). 나의 모든 전도와 선교는 성령의 능력으로 된 것이어서 이것을 자랑한다.
결단과 적용
복음의 제사장은 자신을 자랑하지 않는다. 오직 성령의 능력으로 한 것임을 자랑한다. 남의 터 위에 교회를 세우지 않는다. 복음이 없는 곳에 복음이 없는 자에게 복음을 전하며 살게 하소서! 순회 선교사로 불러주시고 사용해 주심에 진심으로 감사 드린다.
‘I am called to be a priest of the gospel for the gentiles’
Rom. 15:14-21
Observation and meditation on the text
Paul declared that he was proudly boasting of one thing in his service to God as a priest of the gospel for the gentiles. He witnessed Jesus with his words and deeds and signs and wonders followed by the power of the Holy Spirit, which he was boasting.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
‘I worked harder than all of the apostles, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. Therefore, by the grace of God I am what I am’ (I Co 15:10). I also boast of the power of the Holy Spirit who has enabled and strengthened me in my ministry of evangelism and missions.
Decisions and applications
I never boast of myself as a priest of the gospel of Jesus Christ in his ministries. I boast of the power of the Holy Spirit who has worked through me. I never build a church on someone else’s foundation. Lord, keep on inspiring me to witness Jesus wherever there is no gospel of Jesus Christ. I praise you Lord with much thanksgiving for your entrusting me to be an itinerant missionary to be your witness!
