‘믿음 공동체를 회복시키시는 하나님’
본문관찰과 묵상
성벽 봉헌식은 에스라가 속한 무리가 성벽 오른편으로 행진했다. 느헤미야가 속한 무리는 왼편으로 행진했다. 성전 옆 광장에서 만나 성전에 함께 들어가 성대한 감사의 제사를 드렸다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
제사장은 나팔로 레위인은 다윗의 악기로 믿음 공동체를 회복시켜 주신 하나님을 찬양하며 성벽 위를 걸었다. 스룹바벨과 느헤미야가 총독으로 있던 때에 백성들은 십일조와 제물을 드려 제사장과 레위인이 제사 드리기에 부족함이 없었고 그들도 생활의 염려없이 충실하게 직무를 감당했다.
결단과 적용
은퇴한 후로 나는 지금 생활의 염려 없이 마음껏 복음을 전하며 살고 있다. 첫째, 나를 위하여 재물을 모으지 않아도 되기에 마음이 풍족하다. 둘째, 복음전하는 데는 부족함이 없으니 마음이 풍족하다. 그러나 나를 위해 그리고 복음전파를 위해 진심으로 함께 걷는 사람들이 많지 않음에 늘 마음이 허전하다. 안디옥교회가 선교적인 교회의 정체성을 잃지 않기를 기도한다.

Observation and meditation on the text
For the dedication of the wall, Nehemiah had one group of leaders with Ezra marched on top of the wall to the right with choirs to give thanks to God. And the other group with himself to the left. They met at the Broad Wall next to the temple of God. They went into the temple of God together, and they offered great sacrifices out of joy because God had given them great joy.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Some priests praised the Lord with trumpets while some Levites with David’s musical instruments as they proceeded on top of the wall. They praised the Lord with great joy of thanksgiving to God for the restoration of the community of faith. During the times of the governor Zerubbabel and Nehemiah all the people gave their tithe and offerings to God. Therefore, the priests and the Levites could offer sacrifices to God without lacking of anything, and they faithfully carried on their ministries because their lives were secured financially too.
Decisions and applications
After retirement I have preached the gospel without worrying about financial need. First, I don’t worry about my finances because I don’t need to accumulate money for myself. Second, I am in peace because I can travel all over the world without worrying about my personal expenditures. However, I feel emptiness of my heart because I am in desperate needs of companions who can walk on top of the wall together to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. I pray that Antioch Church leaders should never lose the identity as a Missional Church.
