‘교만으로 스스로를 높인 어린 자들’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
바울과 아볼로는 믿음의 본을 보여 고린도교회 성도들이 그리스도의 일꾼으로 충성하기를 원했다. 그러나 그들은 스스로 교만해 왕 노릇하였다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
바울은 자신이 자책할 것이 없어도 교만하게 자신을 드러내지 않았다. 주가 오셔서 판단해 주실 것을 믿었다. 주 앞에 자랑할 것이 하나도 없다.
3. 결단과 적용
스스로 잘못한 것이 없다고 교만으로 산 결과는 교회를 분열시켜 사람중심으로 파당을 짓게 했다. 내가 잘 했어도 다 주님이 주신 것으로 한 것이다. 자랑하지 말라!
오늘의 기도
“나의 나 됨은 하나님의 은혜요..내가 다른 사도보다 더 많이 수고하였으나 내가 한 것이 아니요 오직 나와 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜로라” (고전 15:10). 판단을 주님께 맡기며 주님의 영광을 위해 살게 하소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘Infant Christians Who Elevate Themselves Out of Pride’
I Co. 4:1-8
1. Observation and Meditation
Paul demonstrates profound humility by working harmoniously with Apollos. In doing so, he serves as an exemplary model of faith for the Corinthian Christians, acting as a true servant of Christ. In contrast, the "infant" Christians of the Corinthian church act like kings, driven by their own pride and self-importance.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord through QT
I hear the Lord speaking through Paul’s example: Paul never boasts or shows off, even when he cannot find fault with his own conduct. Instead, he commits all judgment to the coming Messiah, Jesus. I realize there is no reason for me to show off, as everything I have has been received from Jesus.
3. Decisions and Applications
The immature Corinthian Christians judged themselves to be "perfect," which led to division and the formation of different factions following different leaders. I must remember that even when I perform well, I am only using what Jesus has given me. Therefore, I have no grounds for boasting.
Today's Prayer
“By the grace of God I am what I am… Even though I worked harder than all the other apostles, yet it was not I, but the grace of God that was with me” (1 Cor. 15:10). Lord, help me to leave the final judgment to Jesus and live solely for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
