‘슬로브핫의 5 딸들도 유산을 받았다’

본문관찰과 묵상     

     므낫세 반 지파는 이미 요단 동편 길르앗과 바산을 받았다.  서편의 땅은 제비뽑아 받았다.  므낫세의 현손 슬로브핫의  5딸들도 모세 때 요청하여 허가 받은 것을 여호수아가 그대로 집행해주었다. 

QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성

     그 당시에 여성이 유산을 상속받지 못했다.  슬로부핫의 딸들의 요청을 공의와 정의로 판단해 아들이 없는 집은 딸들이 분 깃을 받게 했다.  여성의 지위향상은 기독교 복음이 일으킨 것이다.

결단과 적용

     슬로브핫의 딸들이 유산을 받게 해주었듯이 오늘의 교회가 눌리고 아프고 없는 자들을 위한 공의 와 정의가 회복되야 한다.  프레임을 씌워 죄 없는 사람을 죽이는 악행은 예수, 바울, 스데반, 선교사들에게도 행한 불의한 일이었다.  이 시대에 교회안에서 이런 악행이 공의와 정의로 발본색원 되어야 할 것이다.

Observation and meditation on the text

     The half of the tribe Manasseh received the land of Gilead and Bashan in the eastern side of Jordan.  The half of Manasseh received the western side of Jordan by casting a lot.  Manasseh’s great-great-granddaughters asked for inheritance, and Moses granted it, and Joshua executed it and gave the allotment.      

I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

     At the time, daughters were not allowed to receive inheritance.  However, Moses and Joshua let the daughters receive inheritance because there was no son in the family by God’s justice and righteousness.  It is the gospel of Christianity who has improved the status of women by God’s justice.  

Decisions and applications

     As Moses and Joshua allowed daughters to receive inheritance, contemporary church must restore God’s justice and righteousness for the powerless and have nots.  Such a wickedness to put false frame on the innocent to murder them as in the case of Jesus, Paul, Stepen and apostles must be rooted out the root cause.
