‘하나님의 자녀, 그 거룩한 정체성으로의 초대’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수님은 '눈에는 눈'이라는 세상의 논리를 거부하고 사랑의 극치를 가르친다. 이는 단순히 도덕적인 훈계가 아니라, 하나님 아버지가 우리를 대하신 방식이다. 하나님의 온전하심은 선인과 악인에게 동일하게 햇빛과 비를 내리시는 '포용적 사랑'이다.
2. 주님의 음성
"사랑하는 아들아, 너의 행동이 너의 가치를 증명하는 것이 아니다. 너는 이미 내 아들이다. 죄를 지어서 죄인이 아니라 죄인이어서 죄를 짓듯, 너는 이미 의인이기에 의의 열매를 맺을 수 있다. 너의 뿌리가 나에게 있음을 기억해라."
3. 오늘의 기도와 다짐
나를 향한 하나님의 용서가 마르지 않음을 믿는다. 그 용서의 물줄기가 오늘 나를 스쳐 지나가는 사람들에게 흘러가게 하소서. 성령의 능력으로 원수를 용서하며 살게 하소서!

주님, 오늘도 내가 하나님의 자녀라는 사실을 가슴 깊이 새기며 하루를 시작합니다. 내가 받은 용서가 얼마나 큰지 잊지 않게 하시고, 그 사랑의 빚진 자로서 이웃을 용서하며 베풀게 하소서. 내 의지가 아닌 주님의 정체성으로 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘The life of God’s children on earth’
Mt. 5:38-48
1. Observation and Meditation
The children of God are called to a higher standard: they do not resist those who do evil. Instead, they offer help and give freely to those who ask or wish to borrow. They are characterized by a radical love that extends even to their enemies and prayers for their adversaries. Our Heavenly Father's perfection is found in His "indiscriminate righteousness"—He provides for all, regardless of their merit.
2. Listening to the Voice of the Lord
I have realized that I do not become righteous simply by performing good deeds. Rather, it is my identity as a child of God that empowers me to live righteously. In the same way, I am not a sinner because I commit sins; I commit sins because I am, by nature, a sinner. Therefore, today I choose to act in alignment with my true identity as a child of God.
3. Decisions and Applications
Non-resistance: I will not seek revenge or resist an evildoer (Mt. 5:39).
Generosity: I will help and give to those who ask, and I will not turn away from those who want to borrow (Mt. 5:42).
Radical Love: I will love my enemies and pray for those who oppose me (Mt. 5:44).
Because I have been fully forgiven by God through Jesus Christ, I commit to living out my identity as His child for the rest of my life.
Today's Prayer
Lord, help me never to forget who I am in You. Empower me to live out my identity as Your child so that I may forgive those who sin against me. Give me a heart to pray for them and the hand to help them in their need. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
