‘예수가 종교인들을 7번 책망한 이유’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
첫째, 종교인들은 외적 경건이 모양은 있으나 경건의 능력이 없었다. 경건을 살지 않았다. 복음을 들은 자가 복음을 살지 않아 지옥으로 가게 했다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
둘째 종교인들은 성전에 있는 금을 성전보다 귀히 여겼다. 예수보다 재물을 더 귀히 여겼다. 그들은 십일조는 드리면서 정의와 긍휼과 믿음은 버렸다.
3. 결단과 적용
내가 외식하는 눈먼 지도자인가? 경건의 모양도 행하고 경건의 능력도 행하고 있는가? 나의 열정으로 한 영혼이라고 주께 인도해 구원받게 하는 길라잡이로 살리라.
오늘의 기도
주여, 종교인처럼 율법을 따라 십일조도 드리는 경건의 모양과 함께 율법을 완성하는 정의와 긍휼과 믿음으로 율법을 완성하는 경건의 능력을 살게 하소서. “이것도 행하고 저것도 버리지 말라” (마 23:23) 는 주님의 말씀을 순종하며 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.

Mt. 23:13–24
1. Observation and Meditation
Jesus rebuked the religious leaders because they lived hypocritical lives. They maintained an outward appearance of godliness but lacked its true power. They failed to live out the truths they preached. Consequently, those who followed them were led astray; because the leaders did not model a life transformed by the Gospel, their followers never learned how to walk in it.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
The religious leaders prioritized the gold within the temple over the sanctity of the temple itself. They placed a higher value on money than on the Lord. While they were meticulous about tithing to keep the Law, they neglected the weightier matters: righteousness, mercy, and faith. In focusing on the "rules," they discarded Jesus, who is the very essence of those virtues.
3. Decisions and Applications
Am I a blind leader? I must ask myself if I am merely keeping the Law outwardly or if I am truly living out the life of Christ daily. I am determined to lead lost souls to Jesus not just through zeal, but by demonstrating the power of godliness in my own life. My goal is to show others how to walk with Christ through my daily actions.
Today's Prayer
Lord, empower me to live by the power of godliness. Help me to embody Your righteousness, mercy, and faith so that I may fulfill the spirit of the Law while still honoring its form. As Your word says, help me practice the latter without neglecting the former. Strengthen my heart to obey Your words in all things. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
