‘에스겔의 입을 열어 진리를 선포한 하나님’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
에스겔이 바벨론 포로 12년째에 예루살렘이 함락되었다는 소식을 들었다. 에스겔의 입을 닫았던 하나님(겔 3:26-27)이 이 때 그의 입을 열어 진리를 선포하게 하셨다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
아브라함 한 사람에게 약속의 땅을 주셨는데 이제 우리의 숫자가 많으니 예루살렘은 우리 것이다 라는 백성은 더 이상 약속의 땅을 기업으로 받지 못함을 선포한다. 왜? 하나님의 말씀을 듣고도 순종하지 않았기 때문이다.
3. 결단과 적용
불순종한 이스라엘은 황무지가 되었다. 입으로 하나님을 사랑한다 했지만 삶은 자신의 이익을 따라 살았다. 말씀을 듣고도 행치 않는 것은 모래위에 집을 짓는 것과 똑 같아 망한다.

주여, 나를 돌아보고 말씀대로 순종하고 사는가? 듣고도 행치 않아 무너졌는가? 이제 부터 말씀을 듣고 행해 반석 위에 집을 짓게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘God opened Ezekile’s mouth to declare truth’
Ezekiel 33:21-33
1. Observation and meditation on the text
In the 12th year of the Babylonian captivity, a messenger reached Ezekiel with news of Jerusalem’s fall. God, who had previously bound Ezekiel’s tongue (Ezekiel 3:26–27), opened his mouth that very day so he could declare the truth to the people.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God revealed to Israel that they could no longer take the Promised Land for granted. The Israelites believed that because they were many, the land naturally belonged to them—reasoning that if God gave the land to just one man, Abraham, He would surely preserve it for a vast nation. However, Ezekiel declared that receiving God's promises requires obedience, which Israel had utterly abandoned.
3. Decisions and applications
Because of their rebellion, the land became a desolate wilderness. The people professed love for God with their lips, but their hearts were driven by covetousness and worldly gain. This serves as a powerful reminder: hearing Jesus' words without obeying them leads to destruction, just like building a house on sand (Matt. 7:26–27).
Today's Prayer
Lord, help me examine my heart today. Am I truly obeying Your word as I hear it, or is my life weighed down by subtle disobedience? Empower me through Your Holy Spirit today so that I may build my life firmly on the Rock through faithful obedience. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
